Project Elimu is an organisation that teaches classical ballet the young, industrious children in the heart of well known "Kibera Slums". Through this small organisation it has done tremendous changes in many people's lives and even in the locality. Through the organisation itself, it has various programmes like smile bank and as an individual you come to learn that most of the things we are being taught here in project elimu and smile bank helps us in day to day life. I Madelline Pire Albright. I am a beneficiary of smile bank and project elimu,and herer i have come to realise my passion and potential for writing articles and dancing.

Through this programme I am now able to express my talent,since I have been given the opportunity of becoming what I was created to be in life. On many occasions as girls ,some of us are being raised by a single parent family and for instance some of our parents cannot be able to afford sanitary towels. Many girls enjoy the services that project elime offers and we all appreciate the founder of Project elimu mr Mike Wamaya because through him such one of a kind organisation was formed ,where everyone recognises her talent
and passion ,since passion itself is what drives us.

Every month project elimu ,through a smile bank supports one thousand five hundred girls with sanitary towels. Indeed it is a dream come true as it helps many girls when it reaches their menstrual periods. Here we are taught lots and lots of new things like the use of menstrual cups and reusable pads. Indeed project elimu through smile bank is doing a great, marvelous ,tremendous equal vital work by supporting the elderly by providing food for them. In many households one out of ten ,generally are able to get only a day's meal and through the various groups formed under smile bank ,we all share our ideas publicly and eat the food as a whole big family

In the society not everyone was created the same ,but for instance there are all sorts of people who eventually are part and parcel of us. Here in this organisation it accomodates everyone like the dumb and hence it makes them to feel at home and accepted despite of there situation. Indeed what project elimu is doing is something awesome,and during this period of covid 19 pandemic it has done alot to our young precious both boys and girls.

What i can conclude is that this is the right place to be,as what they offer makes you to feel explodious fragiolistic. Indeed it helps us to know what each and everyone of us wants, and i think we should come as one so that we make this place to be much bigger and a bigger SMILE BANK

Gender based violence is something that has made the lives of many people to be more
diversting. The gender violence itself is too much hurting as some for instance cannot
be enthusiastically and eloquently spoken of.
Generally many of these people who undergo this enormous,trechures trauma of
gender based violence have made their lives to be a no go zone!. In Fact these
people would like to live peacefully in their households ,but how unfortunate this has
become,as they are forced to live in pieces but not in peace.
It is a rather sad story that you hear women and children are brutally beaten and
injured  and the worst part however ,you get that others are being killed mercilessly or
raped. Unfortunately it has brought pain,suffering,and all sorts of challenges that as an
individual is forced to undergo. Many times the women and the children are forced to
keep it as a &quot;Secret&quot; but when they try to speak it out that is when hell breaks loose.
On many occasions, it has led to many resourceful events in once life. These people try
very hard to forget what they undergo in day to day life, but as an individual you will
come to realize that they hide it, and if you try to ask them what they pass through, they
eventually begin to cry since it is painful.
Severally, we all hear suicide cases and to some extend this is unfair. Many times, the
women themselves try to get the necessary help they need to overcome all these
challenges, but they come to the final destination, hence ending up being rescued by
the gender violence recovery and center.
The worst part however is that the gender based violence has separated families, as
young children are generally forced to go out into the streets, so that they get the peace
of mind they need. What I can say is that the women and children are the most affected
once, as they are the victims. Indeed, gender based violence should be stopped with
effect as it has made the lives of many people to be in hazardous situations.
As a community let us get to know how we can eradicate gender based violence in the
society as it has brought harm more than good to many people.

Covid is a respiratory disease that affects the lungs. For instance this deadly disease
has made the world to be at a standstill, as many things have been indefinitely stopped.We all occasionally have been told about it, but it is a rather sad occasion that many
people are now struggling, as the economy of these countries are deteriorating day by
day.
Many of the people being raised by single parent family; some are now
orphans because they have no one to look after them. The numbers keep on rising and
the worst part however is that we are at the center and generally we have no one to
look up to our needs, surely as globe where are we heading?
Many of the people living in slums and in the urban areas are now struggling to put food
on the table to share with their families, but how unfortunate this has become. In towns
and other places many of our young industrious youth used to have employment but
now everything has turned the other way round.
It is not by coincidence that you hear crime has risen, and when one walks he or she is
being attacked and beaten up mercilessly by criminals, reason being they have no one
to fend for themselves.
Most of them try to better their lives, by trying to seek employment but what shall they
do? Many of the school going children have now become teenage mothers, because of
the different families they come from, as some cannot be able to get the basic needs, as
some are being raised by single parents.
Indeed this pandemic has brought worse more than good. For instance this pandemic
has brought corruption and nepotism to people as families are being stigmatized. Why
Covid 19? Why has it made our lives to be at a standstill?
What I can say is that let us find a solution as to the way a united globe can fight this
pandemic. For us to be alive, let us follow the government's directive measures and
apprehend what they say. Let's keep social distance, avoid crowded places and cover
your cough or sneezing for us to live in a free community free from Covid 19!
